Michael Che of SNL Weekend Update, on whether he thinks Trump was treated fairly

He is a lefty, but you feel that he sees the problem.
Respect.
if more libs would acknowledge the problem, we could move to correct it

Che and Jost aren't afraid to tweak the left fairly, even if the studio audience disapproves when they do.

He says, "but you have this orange billionaire doing stranger and stranger things, what else can we talk about?"
Posted on 12/21/16 at 9:01 am to Roaad
why can the left just body shame trump with no repercussions?
orange skin? tiny hands? fat statues?
The motherfricking hypocrisy coming from the left is truly unbelievable. I literally struggle to believe this is actually happening. It remains surreal.
How can so many people be so fricking blindly ignorant and hypocritical? How can so many people constantly do what they claim to hate,,,,, without even realizing it??

I guess orange isn't a protected color in their discrimination handbook

He's got a point. On one hand, you gotta tweak sides, but Trump is the funniest thing in the news, and it's a comedy show.
People on this board bellyached a lot about how easy the comedy world went on Obama, but I think there's something to the idea that Obama just isn't that funny, and he's the least funny President since Eisenhower. After Ike, the President was always comedy gold:
Bahhhston
Jed Clampett
Satan
Klutz
Peanuts
Bad short-term memory
Ned Flanders
Tubby
Nukular
Obama zzz
Yuge

quote:Well, this is a fair repercussion for Trump body shaming someone else.
why can the left just body shame trump with no repercussions?
Also, he runs a beauty pageant that is largely based on a body standard he himself could never match. Body shaming trump will always be fair.

To be fair. It's hard to match the body type of a femal super model. Especially being a 70 year old man

orange skin?

All the more reason it's fair to body-shame a body-shamer.
Plus, none of this shite seems to hurt his feelings, so why white knight for him?

I dunno I've seen some pretty heinous names thrown at Michelle about her appearance on this board with no repercussions besides 100 upvotes

There is plenty to laugh at about Obama. He is pretentious. Egotistical. Thin skinned. But they would not touch him because he was "their" President.
I would have a lot more respect for SNL if they would take on all comers regardless as to political affiliation. Put everyone on notice that no one is immune from their comedy and satire. Instead they are just the "cool kids" table in high school, picking on those who are not "hip" like they are. They have become a shell of what they were before. Afraid to be edgy and stand out.

He's effeminate. He wears "mom jeans". He works out like a woman. He's married to a man.
His policies are almost all huge failures.
There's plenty of Obama material, but they're Leftists so they're always pushing politics in their direction.

I don't think anyone is worried that trump is hurt by body shaming. The post was an obvious reference to the hypocrisy shown by the left. A hypocricy you endorse in this thread. Don't confuse pointing and laughing for being offended. We are pointing and laughing at you guys. Not offended or hurt by you. You are like minstrels sent to entertain us. And your continued melts are very entertaining. Going to be a good 8 years.

quote:Not buying it. Any dipshit can do an impression of every President starting with Kennedy that's sort of funny (except with Ford you'd have to do physical comedy); nobody's Obama impression is funny. I mean, if you wanna go the stereotypical black as a cartooned up impression, that's funny, but we all know that won't fly on tv.

Face it. The other Presidents are just way funnier.

If Obama is so funny, go ahead and write some really funny Obama material for us right now.

No the difference in repercussions is that nobody on the right claims they have some sort of moral superiority as it relates to speaking about looks/appearances and acts like they have some high ground on the subject. The left constantly acts hypocritical over the subject and never misses an opportunity to brow beat the right over comments made which the left fully participates in as well.
