Looks cool as hell but do they make just the router + 1 extender vs. the 2?
Not sure.....if I recall correctly You maybe can buy just the router and they were supposed to start selling the nodes by themselves in the future.
Although I will tell you this my house is a little over 3000 sq ft and I have the main unit basically in the center in my living room and the two nodes on each end (the house is pretty symmetrical I guess) and I hardly ever get connected to the nodes. Only when I'm in the far back of the house....which is awesome because the nodes really do cut the speed down significantly although not as much as like Eero and Orbi which is why I went with Ubiquiti.
Now I get wifi in my whole yard....hell my neighbors get full signal from my wifi. It was worth it to me to get both extenders but I will say this I would probably be fairly satisfied with just the router itself but I'd still be disappointed that I would lose some coverage in my bedroom and entertainment room (which would be a bitch because of ATV).
