The reason these young SJWs are so confounded right now

They think it's the end of the world because every democrat under 30 has not lost a presidential election that they voted in. They had it in their minds that being 2-0 meant that they would never lose. They were like young Alabama fans are now: entitled(and I'm a Bama fan). They've never experienced losing, so it seems like the world is crashing down.

I graduated from Alabama when Shula was the coach so my 4 years in college, sucked in terms of football.

Yeah but I think the analogy works. Alabama fans 2008-present= Democrats 2008-present.

Ish. It's more a product of this new "everyone gets a trophy" generation, which does speak to your point about never having to handle failure and adversity.

It's a combo I think, which is why the melt is so bad.

Adding to your point, a large majority of them don't play sports.
So, the Party IS their sports team they root for & they can't cope b/c it will be 4 years b4 their team "plays" again

When your winning consistently you may feel like it will never end. The times are great and everyone is happy. We've seen this happen to dems and eventually, it will happen to Alabama. Nothing lasts forever in that matter.

It's the boomers' fault for giving the kids these trophies in the first place.

That's still bullshite. I was supposedly 3-0 in my first three elections. You didn't see people acting like clowns in 92.

I think it goes even deeper than that. For many of them, this is the first time that the real world has ever told them that they are wrong. Maybe they've seen "fringe" righties trashing them online, but virtually every person they know in the real world thinks just like they do. And they've assumed that the people living inside their personal bubble must be just like all other people living around the world (side note, it's also part of the reason why they empathize with middle east Muslims so strongly - projection bias).
So when so many Americans refuted their closed bubble mindset, well, it bursted their bubble. And now they are freaking the frick out because they have never experienced the disappointment/anger/embarrassment that accompanies realizing you were wrong.
Basically, their parents/society has failed these snowflakes terribly. These are emotions that childhood should have prepared this people for, but they were too sheltered to ever learn from disappointing outcomes

SJW know nothing about the real world.
The real world is full of 60-70 hour work weeks for some, deployments for others, and full of disappointment by most in the real world.
Life is unfair which is a lesson they hadn't learned yet until they got a crash course in on November 8.
F em. Wanna see what the world is like? Do a tour in the Mid East and see how accepted your views are there.

They had written our eulogies years ago and have been reciting them for a long time ("wrong side of history!"). I imagine it must be quite embarrassing for them.
It must also be hard to be so cock sure of your intellectual and moral superiority and yet be so wrong. That's why they are blaming the Russians, the electoral college, widespread racism, and everything but themselves. They have to preserve their ego above all else.

This thread is speaking as if conservatives didnt spend the last eight years melting about Obama.
Posted on 12/19/16 at 10:12 am to _Hurricane_
So you are saying LSU has a chance in 2017?
Posted on 12/19/16 at 10:13 am to Tigerdev
This response is speaking as if the melt conservatives had over Obama is equivelant in scope and magnitude to the current melt of the left

If you think the right's response to the 08 and 12 election is anywhere near the same level of freak-out that's happening now, you're being disingenuous at best, or just flat out willfully ignorant.
