Whole lot of hyperbole in the title of thread LOL! More simply, Herman is a high risk high reward hire for Texas. IT can go either way.

He better start recruiting better than he has shown so far.

They were excited because a TE they wanted decommitted from Nebraska. The kid signed with Mary Hardin Baylor instead of committing to UT. The LH's have 8 recruits and are ranked 59th in the country.

Quotes from Texas recruiting board:
quote:

Plus, Herman will have had well over a full month on Strong in terms of recruiting when they were both respectively hired.

Strong put two elite classes together following losing seasons and built the talent pool pretty well in those two classes. If Herman, a coach who people are excited about and has numerous relations throughout the state, does poorly with the class, it should be on him. I think he needs to make excellent evaluations the rest of the way in order to build on the last two classes and not have it crumble with a mediocre or poor class.

+1 We were all sold on Herman having awesome relationships across the stat of Texas so yes it is beyond fair to judge him on this class.

Now Texas has "fake damage." Not one recruit, commit, or prospect has mentioned their lack of interest in Texas because we loss to Kansas or because we have 3 years of a losing record.

That is all you. You are literally making it up as you go so that you can just justify your deep dislike of Charlie Strong.
