I love horseshite like this, someone dares to disagree with you, so it must be because they can't think for themselves.
Half teh board jumps up my arse every time this subject comes up, so don't lecture me about e-bullshite.

And I didn't say all of them, but yes, in my long experience with arguing this issue, I have found that many more are young than ones who are Star Wars fans. There's definitely a significant element of what I said is involved.

Most of the people I knew at the time actually liked Jedi more than Empire because it had a conclusion, no soap opera elements or corny dialogue. I didn't start to encounter the "Empire is the best one" opinion until years later.

I'm not going to shy away from my opinion that Star Wars is by far the best one. The Director's Guild and American Film Institute agree with me. I have to add that part, by tradition.

The "enhanced" versions definitely change the overall perception, and Star Wars is painful to watch in some places, which ruins a lot of the subtlety of it. That's why I own the unmolested versions of all three.

Same here. Jedi had Luke in full Jedi action and people liked Jabba and the Fett and Leia on a leash. And the Ewoks I think weren't hated so much initially.
