There is a lot of people turning Kelley off now and coming back for Hannity. Carlson is killing it.

CNN needs to fire their whole network and start over.
They have less than zero credibility.

I got an idea who first to fire: how about Jeff Zucker who ruined the network.

Van Jones will lead them to the top...

it's a testament to how insane fox's ratings are that she can bleed viewers when she comes on and still have such high ratings, but fox is overestimating her draw and underestimating their own brand power. how much of her success is the timeslot, the lead in and the network name? the answer? almost all of it.

Rachel Maddow is the #1 draw that doesn't work for fox

I'm surprised it hasn't already happened. Shareholders can't be happy with CNN dropping below MSNBC. Will be interesting to see if they force CNN to go all in and become even more liberal than MSNBC or if they move to the right.
I don't see them doing much. I bet all they do is remove Cooper and they are probably terrified to do that because the snowflakes will come to his defense.
I would be interested to see the ratings of Aaron Brown when he was pushed out vs. Cooper now.

it was ruined when he took it. piers morgan's ratings were absolute garbage (I know larry king was enjoying it) if not for the election, it just would've stayed ruined. I agree though, he's the worst
if msnbc decides to fill out their afternoon slots with someone or something that can draw, CNN is fuuuuuucked

Also here's the problem with CNN: everyone there is as boring as sand paper. You can't have Anderson Cooper and Don Lemon back to back. It's boring as shite, and they just glaze almost over every issue. CNN was recently ranked as the least informative network of the Big 3 and by a long shot. You can't be the least informative network and have nothing but boring people reporting it.
And I don't need to remind you of this, Fox, but Wolf Blitzer is literally retarded and should be the second to go after Zucker.
And say what you will about MSNBC, but they have some people there that you want to watch and are characters in and of themselves. Chris Matthews, Rachel Maddow, and Joe Scarborough are all fun people to watch. Sure they may enrage you at points, but they are capable of engaging an audience. Fox has this with O'Reilly, Tucker, Shep, and Hannity, but does CNN even have one of these? Granted they did with Piers Morgan, but they haven't even tried since then to have someone that can be entertaining.
If CNN were smart, they'd fire Lemon and put Cenk Ugyer in his place (if he'd accept it). The guy is a character and will call both sides out on their shite, and get more people there with a Young Turks loyalty. That's just my recommendation to them, and they can take it or leave it.

I have a simple solution.
Why don't they try telling the fricking truth.
Why don't they try telling the fricking truth.

This boggles my mind. It has to be people hoping for a piano to fall on her like me.
hysteria, drama, apocalyptic...with trump daddy butt fricking democrats for 4 years, she is going to be an insane draw.
if cnn wants to mindlessly throw money at someone, they should throw it at her, not Kelly.
they also cannot feel good about paying cooper over $10 million.

Once Trump looked like he may win the election, who did you first turn to? Probably not Fox. CNN you'd only watch to see Wolf not comprehend what is happening to the election. You turned to MSNBC I'd bet to watch Maddow and Matthews melt. CNN can't even give us that.

Let those networks crash and burn

Chris Matthews, Rachel Maddow, and Joe Scarborough are all fun people to watch.
cnn is trying to pretend as if they're not political entertainment that skews very left...and I think that makes them pretty boring, but also enrages viewers both left and right.
also, who knows how bad the impact is from WikiLeaks. they rigged a debate...that's pretty jaw dropping.

msnbc is slowly building something, but there is still a vacuum for actual news. I think it would be successful.

Yeah, everyone else sees through this at this point. Sure you need and Anderson or Megyn on your network reporting nightly, but you need a character on there as well to engage your audience. Cenk is the clear choice for them if they'd listen, but I doubt they will.

quote:CNN just needs to change their format. The segments are too short. Make the headline news channel the political commentary channel and make the main channel more about news in general.

And definitely get rid of Blitzer.
