re: How easy/hard is it to rebuild a transmission?

I did fail to mention, that my rebuild took months as well, only because it was a project car, and when I first hooked it up the OD didn't work, so I had to pull the valve body and redo it.

Though rebuilding a LSD rear is almost as hard.


Changing a clutch in a manual is easy, changing a throwout bearing in a manual is easy.
rebuilding a tranny is the hardest mechanical job there is, but it can be done. With time and patience.

I only took so long because I didn't need the truck. It drove great after I was all done though.
