Gluten and dairy, there's an argument for, a dumb one but still an argument. Legume and soy? What's the reasoning? Is he just an a-hole?

its a she.
She went to some retreat about diets and came back and said no dairy, no gluten and no legumes. Its really fricking annoying to go to a restaurant with her, takes her 10 minutes to order.

One of my wife's friends did one of the fad diets that included a lot of protein bars made with soy. She was then diagnosed with breast cancer (around the age of 30) and was informed that the over consumption of soy likely contributed to getting breast cancer so young.
I have no idea if that was really the cause but I try to limit myself to only a couple of protein bars per week just in case.
