Also, let's be honest, if you're a major sports star and you're going to marry, going in with the woman you met in high school is smart. If you marry the person who knew you before you were famous and doesn't have many other options outside the neighborhood, she's probably more likely to stay with you. Conversely, if you marry the woman you met off the cover of the SI swimsuit edition, the chances that she's loyal to you are greatly diminished.

I find LeBron increasingly annoying and a somewhat pale comparison to Jordan or even to some extent Brady, but marriage isn't a bad thing, it's good for society, and if she's what makes him happy, good.
