Cruising with the Tooz. Great stories.

Read the book. Man was a character.

He was an All-American at the University of Tampa in 1973. The next year, the school dropped the football program.

He played in the Tangerine Bowl that final year with Freddie Solomon...future Buckeye Earle Bruce was the HC at Tampa. Tampa also featured converted fullback Paul Orndorff, who scored a pair of touchdown receptions against Kent State before gaining fame as a professional wrestler known as "Mr. Wonderful."

They faced Kent State whose HC was Don James, soon to be Washington's natiomal champ head coach.

On the field, Kent State had Alabama head coach Nick Saban and University of Missouri head coach Gary Pinkel, along with future Pro Football Hall of Fame linebacker Jack Lambert.
