OP thank you for demonstrating what is wrong with all of this supposed "journalism" today.

Happened to catch the replay this morning, and Herbstreit showed no animosity toward LSU at all. His entire point was that Kiffin will get a HC gig for next year, so LSU will have to look elsewhere. He wasn't knocking LSU or insinuating that Kiffin was never considering us or that he would never leave Bama for LSU or anything like that, just stating that he thinks that he won't be an option once he gets a shot at HC. He just kept repeating "Lane Kiffin will be a head coach".

But you come here and post a completely skewed and unsubstantiated take based on a misinterpretation of what was said, and that confirms what many already want to believe, so without seeing it they run with it and it becomes fact in their minds for all time.

It's the same way with these "sources", many fictitious. A blogger or TV guy writes something based on something that someone might or might not have heard from someone that might or might not have any real info on what is happening and all of a sudden, Kiffin to UH is imminent and its some "shock" when Applewhite is hired and we hear Kiffin wasn't even really one of their top choices.

In that same segment, Finebaum and Herbstreit cited completely different info from supposed Bama insiders, one claiming that Sark was going to be OC next year, and the other saying Sark would not be retained.

It's just a joke. Fodder for the masses, and we all continue to eat it up because what the hell else is there to do.

This is accurate. He was actually texting on his phone while Paul opened the segment, and did seem very distracted and pretty unprepared for the segment. Not sure what was going on with him but it was a very weird and off the mark segment for a guy that is usually as polished and well spoken as anyone on that network.

He was kind of giggling and searching for words throughout the segment, but that wasn't directed only or primarily at LSU, just an overall lack of preparedness or focus for the segment.

He was not bashing LSU in any way though.
