Not to sound like a nut job, but I swear I met him about 5 or 6 years ago in the Montmartre area in Paris. We talked for about a half an hour discussing American Indians and Reservations. It wasn't until later that I came across a pick of him when he was older and heavier before his "demise". The resemblance of the man I met, while obviously much older, was uncanny. Who knows, but it would be cool if someone eventually found him. He was an artist btw.

I saw the band at the Hollywood Bowl and at a club called The Bank in Torrance, CA. He wasn't very animated at either place, and had nowhere near the audience command that Jagger, Hendrix and others possessed quite naturally.

I imagine Morrison's reputation for showmanship derived from the Doors' club time on the Sunset Strip, before the heavy drinking sort of zombified the man. That's just my guess.
