Hayes showed remorse from the stand and Buras is not know for max sentences with no priors and a remorseful defendant
What is your guess rt3?
I'm the wrong person to be asking legal questions to

id be cool with something like 10 years if allowed by law, get out in less for good behavior and stay on probation.
I dont believe he meant to kill anyone. I think the smith crew put him in a bad situation and he thought he saw or heard something that he didnt and made a mistake. Thats not to say he didnt make any misteps, but I think the smith crew made more.

manslaughter with a gun means it's at least 20
apparently he can get all the way up to 60 with the 2 guilty verdicts combined
gun to my head... I'd guess somewhere in the 30 year range w/ probation possibility... hard to overcome 8 in the back

I saw the ticker on ESPN say facing "20 to 40," then I read the DA's comments in this thread. The ticker should say, "facing 20 AND 40 years"

You don't think he meant to kill anyone? Are you shitting me?
If he was pulling the trigger on a Raven .25, maybe. But he was punching large caliber holes in Will Smith. You can't shoot a guy 7 or 8 times at point blank range with .45 hollow points and pretend you weren't trying to kill him.

Concurrent vs. consecutive? He was found guilty of 2 charges. I think I read that the mandatory minimum for manslaughter with a firearm is 20, with a max of 40. Not sure if there is a mandatory minimum for the Raquel Smith attempted manslaughter guilty verdict.

I didn't know the difference between 1st Degree Murder, 2d Degree Murder and Manslaughter until Chickie Wah Wah Foret explained it.

I think he will end up getting about 20.

How many of these people do you think actually followed the trial and testimonies?
I read every news article, watched every video and examined every picture I could find since 4.9.16. I followed tweets from several different news people and followed RT3's thread on SaintsReport.
I just saw a story on WWL that diagrammed what happened the night of the shooting, where CH, RS and WS were standing and they explained it how I had done so months ago.
Yet to some of you fools I don't know shite.

Haven't spoken to her in a long while. I ran into her at the grocery many moons ago. Ya know, I'm busy, she's busy keeping thugs off the street. Dat lady works hard.
