Yea I have a benchmade with S30V stainless blade which is pretty hard metal. Any stones you recommend? Might get a cheap knife and practice before I roll the edge on my benchmade

S30V is easy to sharpen, get something in S90V 
Norton makes a combination waterstone you should look into, I have one along with two Shapton stones for my kitchen knives. Little messy but easy enough to learn.
