Of course the biased media isn't going to agree with the subjects of his tweets when he is tweeting about how fraudulent and unethical said media is.

You are, of course, at least partially correct.
But why is this news? Anyone that wants to know what he tweets can just sign up to get them.
It's because the news can't just tell us what happened. The GUARDIANS OF DEMOCRACY have to interpret things for us lowly citizens and tell us what to think about those 140 characters. America might fail as an institution if they didn't break it down for us. They are there to serve as philosopher-kings who tell us cave dwellers what is true and what is shadow.
