OC will NOT be Ensminger

Question: does Ensminger, or has he ever run a spread offense? Orgeron specifically said he was going to run a spread offense. Look, it may not be Kiffin ... and to the extent Alleva based his decision to hire O on the belief he had Kiffin in the bag - that is troubling. I don't know that to be a fact. What I do know is that there are qualified OCs well-versed in the spread- and I believe Orgeron understands that his credibility and future success depends in part on this hire. Ensminger will stay on staff, but not as OC. Whomever Orgeron hires may not be a "home-run hire" in some ppl's eyes, but I'd be willing to bet it is someone who has experience running the spread.

What has O not said and promised?

He also said that he wanted to run pro style too. I don't believe Coach O even knows what he wants to do.

Why don't we consider Craig? Don't beat me down before thinking about it.
He's coached three 1st round draft picks.
Ponder
Emmanuel
Winston
Co Offensive Coord at Auburn and went to the National Championship against his old team even though they lost.
Just a thought.
However, I would still want the most qualified coach that would put us in a position to win and win big.
Whether it be Kiffin, Briles, Applewhite or anyone but Ensminger.

We have a head coach that can not even install an offense, good job Alleva.

I think your name is shite-stirrer. If Orgeron hires Ensminger as permanent OC then he will have made his own bed. I've read Ensminger doesn't even want the job. Look if a big part of O's pitch to Alleva was bringing Kiffin, and we don't get him, I agree that sucks. I don't think that automatically results in Ensminger as OC. Everyone would like the hire to be made ASAP, but if it isn't Kiffin, what's the rush?

Whoever cost the less gets the job

Which is really sad considering that the main objective in finding the next LSU coach should have been zeroing in on candidates with offensive backgrounds being that the biggest issue surrounding Tiger football over the past 5 seasons is passing production & QB development. Alleva made a hire that provides no immediate solution to that issue while the search for an OC resembles the same nonchalant mentality we all witnessed in the head coaching search. It's like he expects good coaches to just fall into his lap instead of going out & selling them on the program. What a frickin pussy.

I'm a shite-stirrer because I tell you something you don't want to hear.

O specifically wanted a pro style offense a month ago and changed to a spread when ponamsky told him the fans like spread better.
Tldr - He don't know what he's doing.

Yet a defensive coach gets the interim job and along with the TE coach he proceeds to have the best offense we've seen in years

My assumption is that Orgeron, not Alleva, is making the hire. I have more faith in Orgeron than Alleva. I have no idea, and neither does anyone posting on this board, what efforts Orgeron is taking to hire an OC... we know Kiffin is his no. 1 target, but he will switch gears if Kiffin does not work out.

So when will Ensminger be announced?
