Dumbass, you are proving my point. With Kiffin and O, USC was preseason # 1 and Kiffin was canned half way through the season.

Yes because the previous season he was the first coach to be preseason #1 and end up unranked since the 1960's. It wasn't half way through the season it was after four games.

Kiffin went 4-7 in his last 11 games before being fired. Who took over the same program that had gone 4-7 and went 6-2 including a win against #4 ranked Stanford?

Again, I've never said the decision had to be limited to O and Herman, that was a massive mistake by Alleva.

In your opinion. The truth of the matter remains to be seen. Making shite up before it happens in reality is what causes dire pessimism.

Who had more talent this year LSU or Houston. How many top 15 wins did O have at LSU this year? Not as many as Herman, with far less talent.

Are you really so desperate you are comparing CEO losing to Alabama and Florida to Herman's losses to Navy, SMU and Memphis? That's hysterical. Who had more talent Houston or SMU?

Since he lost 38-16, gained 303 total yards of offense and was a 23 point favorite the average person would think SMU has much more talent than Houston. In reality, that is far from the truth.

Did you actually read what you quoted? He's talking about good wins.

OK, let's do a Orgeron to Herman comparison.

What are Orgeron's outstanding upset wins? Stanford and then nothing. And then a lot of upset losses to the likes of Wyoming, Vanderbilt, and MSU. If you consider Orgeron's interim jobs he's played five good teams in Notre Dame, UCLA, Stanford, Alabama and Florida. He won one of those. A winning percentage of .200 against real competition just doesn't cut muster.

There is no big secret here. Herman is highly regarded by most of college football because he's improved his teams. Orgeron would have been hired by no one else, because his head coaching record is abysmal. Even Syracuse level programs have no interest.
