Exactly.

And we're pissed off because there were more than two other possibilities. Orgeron simply isn't qualified. The fact that Alleva has now fricked up Duke, LSU basketball, and now LSU football is the focus of most of my ire.

Orgeron has no history of success to justify being given this job. It would be better to take a chance on a riskier hire with real upside than hire a guy who has been truly terrible in the past. Even his advocates seem to freely admit he will be nearly entirely dependent upon the quality of his coordinators. That is a terrible starting point and LSU fans should be angry enough to demand change starting at the position of athletic director.
