The more important question is why would the 3rd best coach in the country
WTF????
BEST???
He had a great win record, but his coaching skill sucked. its what got him fired. He rode the coat tails of great talent and could never develop players ...

It won't affect lsu recruiting in texas at all. We recruit a different caliber of athlete than houston. Just look at the recruits they sign compared to ours. Players know that houston will not give u the chance to play with the best and against the best like lsu offers. Our athletic dept is alot richer than houstons too. Our facilities, resources, and our fanbase are bigger and better as well. Not to mention the exposure you would get at lsu compared to houston. It's really no comparison between the two schools.

That's because he was at Houston, now watch out
I can agree with you a little on this, his chances are much higher.
But I will say this, I think Herman will fall at Texas. To big of a program jump for him. Houston's American Athletic conference is a very easy conference to play.
Texas has much more bigger program to manage and a bigger conference to play in. Herman has a lot on his plate.

Unfortunately the only people who think that lsu has been relevant in the last 5 years is all of us tiger fans.

Lol you didn't pickup the sarcasm I see? Before last season I agreed with a magazine that said miles was in the low 20s among college coaches and about 20 pages of hate came at me the overall concensus was that Miles was the 3rd best coach in college football lol. Just wanted to see if any of his pumpers would bite. Anybody who knows anything about football knows miles sucks and we've been saying for years that he wouldn't get a good job outside of LSU and that's exactly what's happening. All these high profile jobs coming open and Miles won't get one of em lol I love it.

I would certainly think that a good number of Herman's recruits were told of the Houston plans to join the Big12. Now that the Big 12 has told them "No Thanks"
how many top recruits are going to spurn UT, LSU or A&M to play in a conference full of the likes of Tulane, SMU, Tulsa, UCF, etc?

This is hysterical. Les Miles isn't winning at Houston. Les Miles isn't winning anywhere. He can only win with superior talent and he won't have it.

Lol I just love the fact that all his worshipers who thought he was god and held him above LSU have to sit there and swallow the fact that nobody wants this guy and if he was what they thought he was Texas would've jumped all over him. Notre dame tenn Oregon and USC would be having a bidding war for him. These ppl thought he was the 3rd best coach in college football and the best he can hope to get is Houston lmfao poetic justice.

Do you think,,
Miles fans, Hillary fans, Herman fans, are all the same people??
To be a fan of one of the above,
1. Watch CNN
2. Ignore reality
3. Completely be football illiterate
4. Vote Democrat and take time off from work to Protest

i don't think he's getting this job, or any job for that matter. purdue announced today that he is no longer a candidate there.

We would not compete directly against him, but I'd prefer he didn't wind up at Houston, just in case he'd poach the occasional four star every three or four years.

Hey Please read the entire thread before copy cat posting.
And what 4 or 5 star recruit wants to play in the shite conference Houston is in over any Power 5 conference.

He pulled his name out of contention for the Purdue job, not the other way around.
There are unbelievably few Power 5 job openings this season (with LSU and Texas both pulling coaches from outside the current Power 5 HC pool), so I wouldn't be very surprised to see Miles take a year off and wait for a better job opportunity next year.
Right now the best jobs available are:
1. Oregon
2. Houston
3. Baylor
4. Purdue
That's a pretty weak list in most years. Next year the Arkansas, Texas A&M, Tennesee, UCLA, Michigan State, Kentucky, Boston College, Arizona, Notre Dame, and Georgia Tech jobs could all potentially be open.

Last name Oliver, First name Ed. Kid is a future NFL player and former 5 star recruit who chose the home town Cougars over offers from the entire SEC and Big 12.

Their offense will make Houston's rush hour traffic look like Daytona.

No, not for Hermann, pressure is just another word for being unprepared. I believe this is his stage.mensa man. Saban called Hermann after ohio state beat Saban like a drum with a 3rd string quarterback. It will take a few years but under him watch out.
