Jonathan Rhys Myers is supposed to appear in the finale next week as a character that can challenge the Vikings. Not a great idea to be doing a re-read of Cornwell's Saxon Stories , I keep waiting for Uthred to show up and kick all their asses

I wonder if next season they will continue with Ivar the Boneless going up against Alfred the Great. Alfred is the son of the monk Aethelstan, but in reality is the son of Athelwulf.

You too huh? I am too until I realized Uthred is 20 years from now. All of the kingdoms will burn with only Wessex the last one standing.

Nah man it's perfect. Think of the show Vikings as the prequel to the Saxons series

I'm thinking it's going to be a time jump with him as Alfred. At least I hope so. Him vs. Ivar will be downright delightful.

And just to add, *panties dropped*. Seriously. I think I've loved him and Henry Cavill since The Tudors.

Finally caught up on the last two episodes. Just really well done. I understand the lack of all out battle scenes given their cost for a TV show. I imagine they're saving up some really good shite for the finale too.

Was a little worried about Lagertha there for a minute. Seer prophecy be damned. I'm convinced Bjorn is going to knock up his side piece/Lagertha's broad. Which makes me wonder if something like that could lead to a riff between Bjorn and Lagertha to the point that he's the son of Ragnar that kills her?

Can't wait to see those two halfwit brothers get their asses wiped across the floor for the stunt they tried to pull on Kattegat.
