I was a bit rushed and had in laws galore around, so had a hard time hearing every bit of the presser. But I feel like I remember him saying this.

Apologies if this has been discussed

He likes a quarterback who has the want to attack the defense with both the run and the pass and certainly has the quality to look to do the things that we ask him to do

Yes he did. I wish someone would ask him about what he said when he took the interm job saying he wanted a dropback QB and pro style offense. Why the sudden change?

He said he believes you have to run the spread offense in college football with dual threat QBs and still be physical.

It sounds like he wants to bring the USC spread-type offense to LSU.

Yes, and wants a d/t qb. Many on here think Brennan is purely a drop back passer but if you have ever seen him play that's not entirely accurate. He is no Jalen Hurts but he can definitely move. He will need 15-20 pounds to keep from getting killed though if they plan on using him in a true pass option role. Narcisse is a true d/t qb but I believe Brennan's accuracy is better. In either case LSU is sitting pretty with these two guys, imho of course.

quote:

"I do believe that nowadays that you have to run the spread offense, you have to have dual-threat quarterbacks that can run the ball and throw it," Orgeron said. "But you have to have somebody that knows how to run it. We still want to be a physical football team."

The Advocate

Quote in this article. Not necessarily painted in the corner on this comment but he expressed a need for a mobile quarterback. I do not think he will abandon the power running game entirely. Looking at the Bama model I guess.

On another note, Brennan has said that is no problem to him and he has like 450 yds rushing this year.

Thanks for the responses everyone

Not sure how to feel given Brennan doesn't necessarily fit this mold from what I've read
