De'Andre Johnson: What would be your reaction?

What would your reaction be if CEO & co. brought in De'Andre Johnson?
For those that don't know who he is, Johnson is currently at EMCC (Last Chance U), where he's piled up the yardage both through the air and ground as a QB. The Lions are No. 3 in the country and their lone loss was a game Johnson missed -- I don't know the reason why.
Johnson was originally at FSU but was kicked out the summer before his true freshman year for punching a woman in the face at a bar -- allegedly, the woman used racial slurs and swung at him first.
He's had high character check marks in HS, his brief time at FSU before the incident and at EMCC, or at least Brittany Wagner has tweeted that out.
Nearly 2,500 yards passing, 750 yards rushing and 30 total touchdowns.

I wouldn't like it, but only O, God, and that kid would know if he was truly changed/back on the straight and narrow.

Once Johnson was kicked out of FSU, he spent the entire year in Scooba as a student and not a member of the football team.
Obviously he was on the football team this year.
So I believe he has 3 years left to play 3.
Another thing I found interesting, Clint Trickett is the QB coach at EMCC. Rick Trickett is the OL coach at FSU.
Just found it interesting that Johnson ended up at EMCC to be coached directly under someone who obviously knows Johnson personally previously. Clint also played QB for FSU before heading to WVU.

Would rather Jarrett stidham.

In theory-everybody deserves a second change. But women-batterers are notoriously radioactive (and rightly so)-so you know going in that you will be slammed with criticism. I think you'd REALLY need to believe in the kid. You can't take a chance if you don't truly believe it has no chance of ever happening again.

Man, that video does him no favors at all but everything you read into the guy says he has paid his dues. He's a serious talent and would impact our Qb position immediately. Not sure LSU is willing to take the media shillacking that comes with accepting him...well, Joe is pretty good at taking it on the chin in the media, so I say one more couldn't hurt.

I see Jimmy had a little blurb on him today

And now Tigerbait with an update ...
A little digging, I don't think Johnson is eligible for SEC enrollment after the league presidents voted on its new domestic violence policy — but would that fall under this considering it was at a bar? That's the big question.
Interesting no doubt.

Punching a woman that you do not know in the face is not domestic violence. It is violence but it is not domestic violence.

Right. I can't find anything definitive on what the SEC presidents voted on other than domestic violence being discussed -- the Jonathan Taylor issue.
I imagine if the SEC presidents voted no to players kicked out of school on domestic violence, that there would also be something on violence in general. But I haven't read anything.

Some excerpts from the TB story, not trying to steal Mike's clicks, but some graphs I found interesting.
Johnson said he has not had any contact with the staff.
quote:
“LSU would be a great school for me personally,” Johnson said. “I know Coach Craig when he recruited me to Florida State. I visited there in the spring when Coach (Cam) Cameron was there. It’s always been a dream school for me and I’d love to be there.

Bring him in and you're instantly a title contender. He was on the way to starting at fsu.
