If your stuck in that shite storm, take the Whiskey Bay exit on to Hwy 975 ( it's a gravel road) but it will take you to hwy 190 in Krotz Springs.

Whatever it is, it was on fire like a son of a bitch. I was about a quarter mile from it, and the flames were over 50' high. Now I'm on the worlds longes gravel highway, but we're rolling!

have a nice ride through Sherburne WMA area during either sex rifle season for deer...

They could make that friggin bridge twelve lanes across and drop the speed limit to 25mph with cops posted at every quarter mile and they would still have wrecks on it.

It wasn't too bad. Took about 45mins. It was steady 35-40mph... Dusty AF tho.

Hey shitbird! I didn't know the back roads, but since I'm not a fricking moron, I used my Navigation system for an alternate route and figured I'd try to save some people some time.

I like driving the levee road south from butte la rose exit. Relaxing

I almost jumped up onto the levee to avoid the dust from all traffic but decided against it. Good thing I didn't because the State Troopers and Game Wardens had plenty customers lined up handing out prizes.

I'm talking the paved route down to Lake fausse
It turns to gravel after the park

Interstate 10 westbound remains closed at LA 415 as Troopers investigate a two vehicle crash at milepost 127. Emergency crews have extinguished the fire and are working as quickly and safely as possible to clear the roadway.
The closure is expected to last into the late evening hours and motorists should continue to use US 190 as a detour.

This fricking blows. Headed back to Houston for thanksgiving, what about a soap fire takes 7 hours to clean up?

Limited access? Investigation? Removing debris?

I grew up in that area. Not a bad thing to always have an alt route. Some good fishing back in that wildlife reserve. Hell if i still lived there id carry a fishing pole with all the wrecks on that bridge.
