LSU wouldn't offer less, but they will lock down on the previous offer and not budge. And I'm sure they will let his agent know why they won't go up.

Last update seems pretty spot on. Had to know players and former players would be pro O.

Alleva is such a frick face

They CANNOT be allowed to be a factor. At all. Ever. Players play. The administrators and boosters run the program. That's how this works.

I don't get all the chicken littles around here. All indications are that Herman is coming to LSU - the specifics will be worked out once this game is finished and there could be an announcement by Monday.

I think Herman's suitor are not as plentiful as they previously thought. USC is on fire and Texas still has Strong. Herman would rather to stay in Texas. Knowing LSU will press hard with the actual OFFER after the game. Herman's agent tried a premptive strike, so when LSU offered Herman could counter with a Texas variable that wasnt present during Wednesday discussion.
If Texas doesnt fire Herman, LSU will have more leverage and could actually offer less than orginal deal because Herman would be forced into a LSU/Houston choice which is much cheaper than LSU/Texas.
^Listen to this guy. He obviously knows negotiating tactics.

Yep of fkin course all the staff from asst's to trainers to equipment managers are lobbying hard. Every one of the. Will be put on notice with a new coach.

I cannot believe how easy it is to troll this board.

Basically, Herman's agent really pissed off LSU because LSU was willing to meet Hermans demands.
AKA Joe Alleva is getting yanked around and being turned into a bitch by agents. How incompetent do you have to be to let 2 agents string you along as leverage for other jobs?

This negotiating style vs Orgeron's "I'm staying no matter what" negotiating style posted in the same thread

Not with you out bumping your gums.

Re: 1: 40 update--
So Alleva will stand up at the press conference and say "Both the Fisher and Herman camps were trying to screw us, so I turned them both down" and everyone will love him for it.

If LSU doesnt land Herman it is Alleva's fault.

This update is the first one that seems to make sense of this whole mess at least
After actually speaking to my friend and not via text, It cleared up alot of the info that was posted here.
I had mentioned earlier it is not that other posters on here are wrong. They are actually getting legit info, but because of the moving goal post it seems like they are wrong. LSU did meet Fisher's demand and then Fisher moved the goal post. So the Fisher is a lock post were partially correct. Their source's were under the assumption the terms were met.

How hard is Sexton really trying to get him back in this or is he just trying to run the bill up on FSU?
Posted on 11/25/16 at 2:29 pm to tigerbaitlawyer
Alleva better be in fricking Memphis with a contract right now waiting for Herman after he is done today
Posted on 11/25/16 at 2:31 pm to tigerbaitlawyer
At the end of the day, it is Fisher's call. He is not messing with any of this until after his game tomorrow night. So all this Sexton and Alleva "shutting down" bullshite is just that. We will know more about Herman situation tomorrow, but we won't know anything definitive about Fisher until Sunday at the earliest. Sexton is just doing his thing right now. He will come slinking right back for further negotiations if Fisher says "yes, I want to go to LSU with that basic set of parameters", IMO.
