Let me straighten this out for yall

Ok Jimbo was the back up plan. LSU negotiated back and forth to string him along. Herman was always the guy. Once word got out then jimbo says he turns the job down. Now no one can let it be known LSU and Herman have agreed to a deal. Reason 1 is the both had games to play. 2 is O was promised a legit interview on friday. That interview wouldn't be to legit if it was known LSU agreed to a deal with Herman. This got fricked up because a Texas booster got wind of the agreement. Texas booster releases info to contact at ESPN, in an effort to force Texas to fire strong and pursue Herman. Saturday around noon herman will be announced as the new HC at LSU. Now go to bed.
Jimbo was only number 2 because after dealing with him last year, they knew what all it would take to get him to come.

As long as we get Herman or fisher it's all good. My question is why would Herman need til Saturday to close the deal? Houston plays at 11 am tomorrow? My gut says Herman now and it's announced tomorrow afternoon/evening. God damn that would be a hell of a prize. I still love Jimbo so if the Herman deal falls through or if Jimbo would agree to locknot in before Herman let's roll. If LSU gets either of these guys we are golden for a long time.

If by leaked you mean his agent doing his job telling a prospective team his client is about to be off the market then yes, he leaked it to them. They in turn leaked it everywhere else.

I think LSU wants to keep Orgeron on the coaching staff with Herman as the HC but if Herman is not available they will go with Orgeron and a top OC.
