The decline is real, Geno tells it like it is- "not even the same program.."

quote:

On the scoreboard Sunday, LSU was technically twice as good as it was against the Huskies last year when they lost by 46 points, the third-largest margin of defeat in school history, the low point in a 10-21 season that was the school’s worst in 20 years. But, as UConn Coach Geno Auriemma not-so-diplomatically pointed out, the Lady Tigers have a long ways to go to again be a national power, one that denied UConn a Final Four berth back in 2007, LSU’s only victory in the nine meetings between the two schools.

“Honestly, it’s a different level of talent,” he said. “It not even night and day from where it was to where it is today."

“It’s not even the same program from back then. I don’t know the reasons why, but when it happens, it takes a while and a lot of good players to get it back.

Not what they used to be

He is spot on, our record has gotten worse every year under Fargas.

Need to can her arse immediately. How Alleva has allowed that woman to steal $800,000 a year from our school to put the absolute dog shite product on the court that she's been delivering is beyond me. I can deal with a sub par product in women's basketball, but I can't deal with a sub par product for $800,000 a year with no end in sight.

They're actually better this year and she signed a good recruiting class for next season. We're not UCONN or what we were though.

Mulkey would have us back as top 5 program overnight. With all the turmoil at Baylor, might be a good time to make another run at her.

In the limited times I've watched us under Caldwell, she can coach. But it's so obvious she either can't or won't recruit. We got no shot with that talent no matter how well coached.

From the title, I thought this was about football. Then I realized that it was about Lady Tigers and realized it wasn't any big deal one way or the other.
