re: Isn't a little ironic that with all at stake a toss dive is called ?

How bout a gif of the whole play instead of a still shot before the while play developed?
A fake doesn't have to be demonstrative. Hell our play action fakes aren't even remotely close to looking like a hand off.
Just Moore running into the line is enough.
Also if it's supposed to look like Morrell is taking the dive the line will block similar to a dive play.
You're a special kind of stupid.

Lulz. You're retarded. Kind of hard for you to pump for O now, huh?
Except I haven't pumped for O. I want Herman or Jimbo.
Unfortunately Herman is a pipe dream because of Texas.
I'm scared that we will be stuck with O though because Alleva likely hasn't done his job.

wow Mr keyboard commando.
It fairly obvious dipshit it was not a toss dive called.
Guice was more worried about pumping the crowd than remembering the play

What do you think was called?
watch the video i just posted. The blocking tells you everything. the play was a toss dive designed to go between the tackles, not outside or whatever you are trying to say

I think it's ironic that JD Moore can't block a DB at the line of scrimmage.

Guice is not a power back. Why would you go inside. Etling pitched it where Guice went.
Posted on 11/20/16 at 2:47 pm to Lester Earl
The blocking left one man to beat on the outside.
Etling was turned enough to get Guice the ball going to the outside. Guice took it inside.

same shite at end of Ut 2010 that worked........of course only after Lee completed a 4th and 16 to keep last drive alive AND after too many men on field for UT!

quote:Watch the video again and pay attention to the blocking on the left side of the line and Etling. 100% the call was a toss to be run outside the tackles to the left. Etling turned around and was expecting Guice to be behind him and to his right after turning around, and he wasn't. Moreau was blocking for an outside the tackles run.

O even said after the game that Guice went the wrong way. Supposed to go outside.

why didnt Etling turn to his left if the play was designed to go left to the outside?

misdirection you pine for.

who was supposed to go right to give the look of a misdirection?
Posted on 11/20/16 at 2:56 pm to Lester Earl
quote:Misdirection. Watch Etling's head. He swings around fully to the right before going back left and tossing. Also, the "fake" part was the blocking all inside while Moreau sealed the edge for the outside run.

LSU ran a play with Guice earlier for a score but with a hand off inside with fullback blocking on his outside. This was not supposed to go inside.
Posted on 11/20/16 at 3:01 pm to GeauxTigersLee
Either way, I can see if he was supposed to go left, but not outside. Orgeron said it was a "short toss", so not a sweep. He was supposed to run between the tackles, and if that called for a cutback left, I can see it. Still weird to see Etling turn to the right to pitch a ball left when no other players were part of the misdirection. Ive seen that with a fake to the FB but never a 1 player misdirection with the QB.

It was poorly executed, but it was definitely supposed to be an outside run. They ran the same damn play last week in a short yardage situation to Guice, except they actually did the fake handoff to the FB before the pitchout. He slipped a tackle in the backfield and took it for a long gainer.
It was pretty clear to me in the video that Etling was surprised that Guice wasn't where he expected and adjusted. I thought the play looked "wrong" the first time I saw it, and watching in slow motion has done nothing to change that.
