Completely agree. Perhaps people leave them out because, like you say, it seems very unrealistic to think Florida could actually win out.
But, if they did, Florida may have the best chance of any 2 loss conference champion especially considering that those final three big wins would be road wins and Alabama at a neutral site.

They didn't lose to Portland state. 3 point loss to Eastern Michigan. EMU's only loss is by 6 points to North Dakota State, who beat Iowa. And a 3 point loss to a 1 loss Boise State team.

Portland State was last year. Eastern Washington was the opener this year
