I'll probably be calling someone soon for a quote, but what would be ballpark to run wires for a 4 camera system in a 2300sq ft house? What other info is needed to come up with an estimate? I really don't know if I'm looking at $500 or $2500

Probably closer to 500. Not hard to do it yourself though.

I did my house, 11 cameras, cat6 color matched ethernet cable, guy charged me 800 bucks. Nine of the cameras are POE. He did a great job!

I know just about every security integrator in south Louisiana and it will be hard finding one to just run a couple of wires. If they do the will tax the hell out of the job to even make it worth it. Best bet is to find a tech that is looking for some side work.

4 camera system wire run only? shite, I would do it for $500 if I lived close. $250 an hour is not a bad rate for a quick side job.
Seriously, do it yourself.
