To work under the manager of what has been considered one of the top programs of the last decade, one that has produced more players desired by the NFL than any other. One that has high graduation rates and low rates of off the field incidents. One that has been widely successful in its recruiting approach.

There is a lot more to running a program than X and Os or clock management, I don't think aranda came here to increase his knowledge in these aspects as much as to have added exposure in the others it takes to run a top program.
Every HC's process is just their personal combination of all the different head men they have worked under. The more you are exposed to the more you have to choose from. Saban took a lot from Belichick, Miles took a lot from Bo.
