Not a freighter

A freighter is just a name for a ship that carries cargo, supplies, or goods. They have ocean going freighters that are less than 400ft long that travel all over the world. Your pic is of one of the biggest cargo ships in the world lol

He has to know that that is a risk of diving there.
Absolutely, that's on him.
Just like I'm responsible when I travel the shipping lane in the Columbia River in the dark.
Or when I anchor up real close to it. That's on me.

I'm so confused about what happened though. Water appeared very shallow. How was that freighter able to go over?
How could it not? If there is water under the ship, it can float and go where it needs. It could be 6 inches and it would still go.

I only saw one prop, no way that's was a freighter. Looked like some sort of single screw tug boat.
most cargo ships are single screw. most tugboats arent

1. Most ocean going freighters have a 25'-30' draft. That wasn't anywhere near that.
Thats not true and very dependable on a number of things.
Ocean going vessels can easily have a 10 foot draft or a 50 foot draft.

No where close to a ocean liner. Water is way to shallow and ship or boat way to small.
Ships only need a minimal amount of water underneath the hull. A 900 foot loaded tanker will have no problem going through a river with 1 foot of water underneath it. Now yes the handling and other things can be dogshit but the straight physics of it just being able to float and power through the water is what it is. Not taking into account squat or handling characteristics, 1 foot of water might as well be 50 feet as long as we are just talking about floating and sailing.
eta: I would have shite my pants if that passed by overhead.

I hate when some jackass shows up acting like they something.
You've probably never captained anything bigger than your daddy's party barge.
