IMO the title of the show is supposed to refer to everyone. I would exclude Edgar.

Jimmy is a pretentious a-hole. The worst.
Gretchen has everything handed to her and only does things her way. The worst.
Lindsey is Lindsey. She sucks. The worst.
Edgar is not the worst. He is the exception.
Edgar's gf kinda sucks. She seems really fake peppy, which is...the worst. Especially now that Edgar got his writing job. She is so focused on herself and being jealous that she can't be happy for Edgar.
Lindsey's sister is worse than Lindsey. She is so damn entitled. The worst.
Her husband is a lovable idiot, but he lost his money to a femdom chick online and was totally ready to abandon his family in the woods episode. The worst.
Paul is a cuck, literally. He left Lindsey for someone he actually loved, then came crawling back to her. The worst.

Well yeah, duh that's the point...but to me, Lindsay is by far the worst. She does nothing and expects everything. And she's dumb as all frick. Plus, her poor husband, while a sucky nerd and "beta" male, is doing what he can to make his family work while she takes advantage of that and is unwilling to compromise anything for him. Poor Paul (understanding that he can just leave the bitch and not take what he takes from her).

Yeah, Vernon is pretty funny and looking for a way out from his overbearing wife, but he's also a bad person for the money stuff and being a dumb doctor. But give him a break, he was born dead. Doctor said, "dude's dead." Haha.
