The rural counties are what keep Texas red
They go red 80-90%
They go red 80-90%

Hopefully.
We need that wall though.
We also need republicans to get behind legalizing weed in Texas to hang onto millennials.

If Trump actually solves immigration once and for all, the Dems dreams of a blue Texas are over for a long, long time.

Just looked at my district. Sheila Jackson Lee got 75% of vote for her Congress Seat
But I imagine with the large influx of people moving here from the West coast as well as influx of immigrants, it could get dicey.

I work all over rural east Texas and there are still tons of confederate flags everywhere right next to their trump signs. Texas ain't going blue for a long time.

Yeah it's still a ways away from being feasible. That was a massive pipe dream this year. The suburbs of Houston and Dallas are also as red as they come. Montgomery County was like 76% or something

Likewise, I live like 40 miles southwest of Ft. Worth and see confederate flags all the time. I'm talking trucks that will have them flying in the bed everywhere they go.

The abortion Barbie governors race was what, a year ago?
Texas was never in play, and ain't going to be in play for a long time.

I've been hear'n this BS for 35 years.
The dems spent millions to try and beat the most un-liked repub
canidate ever, they barely sniffed getting within 10% (53% to 43%) of trump.
Not going to happen.

The problem they have in Texas is that while they can win THE county each big city is in, they get STEAMROLLED in all of the surrounding suburban counties. Also, a lot of people in Texas like to live out in the middle of nowhere and "telecommute". My dad does this. This is why you see places as far from a big city as Bryan/College Station becoming basically exurbs of Houston. Really, really red exurbs. With growing, RED populations. So they have the cities, and will from here on out, but everything else is probably growing MORE red.
