The EC is the only thing that protects us from being ruled by the grimy politicos in a dozen big urban areas.
If you want to be ruled by the whims of big city dystopia then get rid of the Electoral College.
It's bad enough that the big urban shitholes give the DEMs a huge running start in the Electoral College. Any candidate trying to break thru that wall has a tortured and perilous trek to make. But without the EC, there is no path to victory for common sense and conservative governance.
Al least the EC gives us that path. Without it, any chance of conservatism dies.

Why do you think the Electoral College sucks? It was put in place for a reason. First, it was to give states that were smaller, a voice in government. Shouldn't everyone have a voice? Two, we're not a democracy, despite what politicians say.
Rather than have a House of Representatives & Senate, why don't we just put everything up to a popular vote? The Constitution was put in place for a reason. It's verbiage is there for a reason.
In a popular vote, the only places whose opinion will matter are urban areas because that's where the votes are.
