When Herman finishes 3-4 in Houston's last seven games

Will that affect your opinion? Do Herman fans feel that it wouldn't matter what-so-ever? Even if he loses 4 of 7 he should be considered to lead the LSU program?

You're relentless in your hate of everyone not Orgeron.

And I'll ban bet you Houston has a winning record in their final 7.

For some reason a lot of these UT and LSU fans will want him even if he loses out.
I don't get it, but whatever.

Damn, pretty risky. You think he will beat Louisville and Memphis who just beat SMU 51-7? I'll give them Tulane.

Coach O will not be LSU's HC . It's over for O.

They beat Memphis and Tulane.
And I bet they give Louisville a serious run for their money.

He's very intelligent, a solid recruiter, and extremely respected in the coaching profession by guys like Nick Saban and Urban Meyer.
He was an unreal offensive coordinator at Ohio State and has lost 3 games in 2 years at Houston, brought them to a 13-1 top 10 finish last year and blowout win over Florida St (with an 8-5 team the year before), and a win over a more talented OU this year.

O's 10-25 record at Ole Miss doesn't matter to O's supporters, so I'm not sure why it should matter for anyone else.

They're 7-2, which is fine considering the distractions this season has brought to the players. At this point, the Cougars are playing for themselves/pride. I am a Herman fan and think he is the man for the job to come in and erase the goddamned gigantic stigma Les put on LSU's offense. It will take this year and half of next to get that stench vanquished.
Herman can do the job.
Herman can do the job.

I take it that even he loses out, it won't matter to you?
Has Nick or Urban called for Herman's advice because of his head coaching or was it just when he was a coordinator?

So you think that based on coach O's record 10 years ago somehow translates to Herman being considered for LSU HC this year even if he loses out?

No, it doesn't affect my opinion.
#1: Its Houston, not LSU, not Texas, not aTm. Houston. Say it with me: Houston. Do you think Houston has the same type of recruits as those schools?
#2: I've seen a body of work from Herman that includes retooling an offense at Ohio St for three different QB's in the midst of an NC run.
#3: Hiring a guy "cause hes a cajun from LA" is about the stupidest reason in the history of stupid reasons for fit. Remember, LSU has spent the last 16 years being run by two guys not from here and has been one of the winningest programs in CFB and become a national brand.
EDIT: Just to be clear, I'm not opposed to Orgeron if he ends up being the best candidate for the job. But I'd like to say I'd want to see a "package" from O on who his OC is going to be. Steve Ensminger is a great guy, but I don't think that's the direction we need to be looking permanently.

Not sure Nick Saban has ever called anyone besides Belichick for advice on being a head coach
But it speaks volumes to me he called him about offense.
I doubt anyone has ever called Orgeron for advice

Name me one other decent program that would hire Ogereon over Herman?
Would FSU take Coach O if Fisher leaves for LSU? Would Texas add Coach O to their list? Notre Dame if Kelly leaves/gets canned? Penn State if Franklin leaves? Etc, etc.
Herman isn't just liked by LSU fans on message boards. He's well thought of by people in the business. That is by no means a guarantee of success, but it is rather tell. But i wouldn't expect someone that can not look past last weekends box scores and only sees the coaching search as this guy or that guy to understand that.

Why shouldn't people take into account that Orgeron was a massive failure the ONLY TIME he's been a full time head coach? I'd say that's more important than anything else he's ever done.
Posted on 11/8/16 at 9:16 am to Tiger Ree
Yes. I will take him over Coach O. Period. You morons who are still knighting for him are fricking idiots. He had his shot and shite the bed Saturday Night.
Just say Neaux to Coach Oeaux

I'll say it "Houston". Houston is not playing LSU, Texas or A&M. He's playing Navy, Tulsa, SMU, UCF and Tulane. What the hell does it matter if he has SEC type recruits when he plays in the AAC?

Not bad for a coordinator, no question about it. If they were looking would LSU hire him to be the OC?

Is Herman a cajun? What the hell does this have to do with Herman going 3-4 to close out the season and possibly being considered for the LSU HC job?

i really can't figure out if you are just a troll or really this stupid.
Coach O's record is about Coach O. It is why i don't think he is top tier candidate.
Herman's overall resume is what makes him attractive. He is at this point a boom/bust guy, great upside but lacking in experience and could flame out.
If those are my only 2 choices, yes, I'd go with Herman, but Herman is not the only guy I'd consider, i don't know what that is so hard for you to understand.
