Yes, straight into the knee on the kicker's planted leg. There was definitely no other place for him to go. Or for him to just stop in the first place.

Yea, cause when you're rushing off the edge like, just stop. That easy, no biggie.

Great stuff!!

The play didn't happen?

He went down like that because he almost overran the kicker. LINK

Right, he went down to try and avoid the hit, but it was too late.

Why would he go down in THAT fashion? There's legit no other reason.

1. He's an elite athlete
2. They stop on a dime at the whistle all the time without fail

This is one of your most ridiculous contrarian posts ever. Just an absolutely stupid argument on your part.

No, it was called dead due to him going offsides.

What are you laughing at, exactly?

Did you not hear the whistles blowing for like 5 seconds, or are you saying the whistles never blew to call the play dead well before the "play" was over?

He went down to try to block the ball. Did you not see him reach down or are you ignoring that so that you can argue?

Zero chance you actually believe a guy rushing the edge can just stop on a dime.

No way.

Dude...

Sherman tried to swat the ball from the holder and ran in to the kicker. Dangerous play which should have been a personal foul.

This isn't a 270lb DE that's shooting out of his stance.

Richard Sherman would have had no issue not contacting the kicker in any way on that play.

So you would agree that this is the 1st field goal block attempt ever where a guy does NOT put his hands out, right?

Unless you've seen others?

You can get a roughing the kicker in that situation.

The play never happened. IT was called dead. There was no play or kick to commit roughing on. The whistle blew due to his quick movement, no?

Like I said, a penalty still could and should have been called, but if you know your rules like you claim, it's not roughing the kicker.

Quoting my question but not answering just proves that you know you're boxed in, but won't admit it.

Has that ever happened?

And why did the refs not call it? Again, there's literally no reason they would NOT call it if they could have.

And yet again, I have no problem calling an unsportsmanlike like penalty there, what he did was ultimately dangerous. But guys are rather obviously insinuating it was done intentionally which is laugh out loud funny.

They could've called an unnecessary roughness as well. Regardless, that was pretty dirty by Sherman.

He did put his left hand out to knock it from the holder. He didn't lay out to block it because he was 2 yards offsides.
