They get them from the same purveyors. They just typically get the seconds because the grocery stores want them all pretty much uniform. This is why they are a bit cheaper. But very little of it is local and you have to ask and search for local. Most of those tomatos are refrigerated and trucked from Mexico, California or Florida as is most everything else.
In the spring you can get some homegrown, local items but not much. If you are aware and ok with that no big deal but buyer beware.

The ones from fp sure look, feel and taste better than the ones from Albertsons and super 1. Rouses usually has good produce. A head of romaine at Albertsons is about 8" long.
