And was Brandon harris's lack of success his fault?

Well, it might not have been 100% on Harris, but it isn't completely on Miles either. Harris has struggled to consistently complete short easy throws. The young man needs to shoulder some of the blame.

However, if he does get in the game, for whatever reason, I'll root like hell for him to succeed.

I would like to see a Perriloux-type package for Harris for third and short or goal line, or an occasional series. Keep BH involved and hopefully enjoy a little success. After all, as O says, he's one play away from being the QB on the field.

Man, that same thought crossed my mind too. They showed that hit on Etling in the Ole Miss game and it came to me that Harris is the back up. I all but forgot about him. I'm going to trust our big guys to protect and pray Etling has a tough chin.

This is why Harris should have seen more action before this game. He will probably see the field. And as soon as Etling starts running for his life and can't complete a pass on third down, the fans will start calling for Harris.

He will be in to confuse the D and throw a couple of 40 yarders

If the O'line whiffs on a couple of plays like they did in the Ole Miss game that leaves Etling back there by himself taking some big hits. I hope I'm wrong but I think we might see BH at some point in this

I agree. There's no doubt etling is going to get hit and sacked. Just how hard and how many times is the question. I predict we see Harris at some point.

Brandon Harris' mobility is greatly exaggerated as he seems to have so little field awareness. There is nothing of value that Harris can do that Etling can't do better.

I believe you nailed it. Out of high school I thought BH was more of a mobile QB and while he might have been that in high school, it has not translated to the college level. Personally, I think BH wants to be a pocket passer but you are right, he does not have the awareness when in the pocket or when scrambling.

Unless Etling is hurt, BH does not see the field. Even if LSU is up by 3 scores with 30 seconds, Coach O will let Danny have the privilege of taking a knee.

Sounds like people are scared that Harris will play well. I don't think a lot of people want to see him do well.

Sad because you really might see him today and you better hope he plays well unless you'd rather us lose just because you hate him so much.

When has Harris ever looked fricking mobile? Dude sucks in every way. He rarely avoids the rush and makes a play

I don't think it's offensive or wrong for the OP to ponder this question. I'm sure more of you will remember that in the Laron Landry days we used to brag that very few quarterbacks made it through a whole game. There was a good 3-4 game streak of us injuring qbs. You see the same aggression from this bama D under Saban. How JJ was able to play after the spear to his chest in 09 I'll never know.

Given that and our Oline troubles, I think my answer is accurate.

But I don't want to jinx it, so I'm knocking on wood right now
