We had an All Hands yesterday with the CNP and Force Master Chief. He said there are approximately 55 individuals in the navy that currently have requested a sex change. He said the navadmin should be released later this week. Solid...

Yeah we have to go through sensitivity training this week. I'm taking my hormone pills so hopefully the transition will be a smooth one.

Is it true that they won't be required to do PT tests? Read that a week ago...

Weakening the military for the sake of appeasing .3% of the population

Where do you work? Wondering if I know you.

Yes. No PT for them.
However, I have an APFT in an hour or so that I have to not only pass but blow out of the water to continue my career advancement because you know, competition and what not....

What's funny? They are serving. I don't give a shite what they identify themselves as, if they are one of my Sailors I just care if they get the job done.

No PT required?
That's not getting the job done to me. You want equality? Then you meet the same requirements as everyone else, otherwise frick off. I don't really care who you are or what you look like, but this is the military, not some boy/girl scout camp.

Kind of.
While transitioning they can test under whatever gender standards they were before
If they fail the commander can exempt stating hormone treatment was the likely cause

HAHA yeah i'll wake up a little early to listen to most of the game on the computer. But as far as going anywhere to try and watch it at 0300 on a work day isn't happening.
Only thing I miss about being in OPS is the three day weekend where I could catch games every other week.

Yeah sorry man, this is by your definition not getting the job done. PT is and always be a part of military life.

I don't agree with Transgender but really don't care what people do with their own personal lives.
My issue with this is the ridiculously high suicide rate and mental problems of most people who identify as transgender. The military already has a very high suicide rate do to the trauma of war. Now you want to put guns in the hands of people who have a 1 in 3 chance of killing themselves with it. Throw in some harassment and some stress and that number probably goes to 2 in 3 killing themselves and others. I just think this is going to go very badly at some point.
But the military has always been the proving ground for social experimentation. So who knows it might all work out.

Yea, but this is the Navy, so it's not like anyone is expected to be in harm's way or kill anybody.
I'd be worried about one of these crazies sabotaging a ship or a submarine. They're all mentally-ill.
A little surprised the Navy beat the Air Force to this one, though.
