He will and there are so many teams where he is a better fit and the Saints are not one of them. He doesn't fit

It's ridiculous to say that Fournette doesn't fit this team.

we need defenders and a guard

I don't have to talk myself into thinking that Fournette doesn't fit in order to arrive at the same conclusion that our pick would be better used for a defender or OL.

If this exact player went to Alabama not a single person on this board would be asking for him cause it does make sense at all.

Not true. Any player being compared to Adrian Peterson makes sense. You seem to be an all or nothing thinker.

We would have to give picks away to trade up to get him too.

...probably. And, I think that's another reasonable argument for why we shouldn't draft him. But, again, a reasonable person could easily conclude that Fournette on this team would make it much, much better.

The Alabama angle is very, very overplayed. 90% of the fans were downright excited to have Ingram. It has been his play that has soured the fanbase on him.

It's not cause he doesn't. A downhill runner who has never shown he can be great receiver (you can blame that on his college team if you want) is not the kind of RB you need with this team especially when they can't run block for shite. If you want a new RB, McCaffrey is the one everyone should want cause he would be a great player for the Saints but that would also be a terrible pick cause we do not need to use a 1st on a RB. Anybody that thinks Sean Payton is just gonna all of a sudden change is delusional. David Johnson would be the perfect RB for the Saints and he was a 3rd rounder.
