It was actually LSU vs Bama in 1996, when Corso put on a hard hat with an elephant on it and picked Bama to win. That was the game that Shawn Alexander ran for 1,000,000 yards and we scored 0.

I was there and this backs it up

This is the real story. The hard hat was made by a close family friend & Bama grad. Corso saw it and got it from him and signed it afterwards. Along with Stallings who had already signed it.

Downvote away for being friends with the enemy but they are good folks.

It was really cool to go with them to TTown in 1993 or so when the Chad Loupe & the Tigers whipped their arse. They had won the national title the year prior. Those tears of defeat were so sweet.

This is correct now that you mention that one, bama 96. It was one of those years I was in school and game day on site was relatively new.

We were short a ticket to the game, so when I went through the gate, I faked an asthma attack to get my friend in. I spoke with a ticket attendant and told them I forgot my inhaler and was having an attack, but that I couldn't find my ticket to get back in through the gate. They told me they would remember who I was and told me to go back to my tailgate for the inhaler.

Total bad karma on my behalf and Shawn Alexander looked like a 1996 version of LF7.
