It's apparent you discount and dismiss preparation, focus, discipline and organization. Sad.

I'm saying he hasn't shown that he's changed, he's said he changed. Even though he hasn't even had the opportunity to change. I'm also saying that the proving grounds for "I've changed" aren't LSU. Before O comes out and makes changes that my pop warner coach saw needed to be made, the overwhelming majority of people scoffed at O getting the position. What changed??

so it sounds like you agree with me?
Not necessarily. I agree with some things, yes, but these games that we have played under him are part of the audition too. Some coaches are good at getting their teams up for the big opponents and suck at getting their teams to play to their ability against lesser opponents. Ole Miss is better than the first two teams we played and is a rivalry game, but we ended up giving them their worst loss against us since 2011. I'm definitely not ready to hand the job over to O already, but it's important to see some consistency against teams who you have more talent than when judging a coach's body of work.

it's that those things are bare minimum things for a program.
YAY. Coach O is making them prepare! Focus. They're Disciplined. They're Organized!
those are bare minimums!!!
for living frick's sake. it's like talking to an idiocracy.

So u honestly think we should have beaten down all three if les is the coach? Did u not watch the wisky and auburn games?
Ok, calm down and think about what you are saying. You're saying give him the job, not because he's the best, but because he's better then les.

If you don't know or refuse to see it, I can't help you. Guess you don't want to see it. Maybe you pop warner coach deserves a shot.

So he's not beating teams we should beat, but we've won games we should win?
Ok, great thread!!!

See what exactly? You've seen a team built by miles and coached, for three games, by O and miles staff (who by their own admittance are merely running miles scheme) and you're willing to hand the keys over? Wtf have you seen?

So playing a hundred times better and literally being better at everything we have sucked at basically overnight means nothing? The results that O has been able to produce is a credit to him and the staff and how far he has come as a coach but should also be a glaring reminder how bad miles was at maximizing talent. How good we look in such a short time is also an indicator how terrible and complacent things were.

You understand the difference between being a head coach and being an interim head coach, right? You understand this isn't O's staff or scheme? Right? You understand that even if O wanted to replicate the issues he's admitted were the problem at ole piss, he hasn't even had the opportunity to do that. Please tell me you understand these things.

Man I'm not trying to be negative or bash you but did u think about this?? Running Miles scheme?? The players have said over and over that they practiced everything we have seen in games. Nothing new. Miles is a terrible game day coach. It was not the scheme. It was miles and cam. Period. What the frick does this staff need to do to demonstrate how terrible the preparation and execution was? This is one of those situations that shouldn't need any explanation. it jumps off the screen and the stat sheet. Night and day.

Where did we say turn over the keys to him? What's said is......he has taken over and gotten the most out of his players and has definitely sparked the offense. I don't know what more you want the man to do? He has addressed and fixed most glaring issues. Yes, he deserves a fair shot if he maintains the course.

But can he do it himself. Can he build it? Can he maintain it? His resume says no. Your emotions say, eh......maybe.
