Carey is easily one of, if not the, best rock drummer today. Period. Lars can't touch him...and I like Lars.

I'd argue that Gavin Harrison is #1, but Carey is definitely in a pretty small Tier 1. Lars is someone around Tier 5. He's not even in Tier 1 of thrash metal drummers. He doesn't sniff Igor Cavalera, for instance.
