Bryan Colangelo said Tuesday that the 76ers and Nerlens Noel have not discussed a contract extension. The deadline to extend contract for playing in the final of their rookie deal is Oct. 31. “It’s not really something that we’ve discussed, given some of the concerns that I think Nerlens has had, right now,” said Colangelo, the team’s president of basketball operation. “There’s been very little if any discussion with his agents about any extension scenarios. But, I’ll just leave it at that.” –

they dont want him back, he doesnt want to be there. they are going to trade this guy during the season, for cheap most likely

he doesnt fit there, but man he would fit here

TO PHI:
ajinca & a protected 1st (or their 2nd back?)

TO NOP:
an unsigned noel looking for a max extension

yes we'd still have asik eating up 11MM, but asik cannot be on the floor with middling shooters. noel can protect the rim, help in the lane on drives, and can absolutely catch and dunk

tell me why the pels shouldnt do this.

Because

Would Noel be part of the Small Ball lineup, or would they go with AD at center and Hill/Jones at PF? If Noel isn't part of the Small Ball lineup or the Finishing 5 because of his 60% FT rate, then wouldn't paying him Max Money be a poor decision? Especially while you still have Asik? And that's not even taking giving up a 1st to get him into consideration.

Philly should cut us a deal to get him back since they didn't disclose the extent of Holliday's injury

Of course they won't but they def fricked us on that trade
