I'm sad to let the Money Talk Board know that 'baileysma,' aka, Karen Ebert who is the sister of 'Poodlebrain,' Kenneth Ebert, passed away on February 3.

Her obituary is in today's Baton Rouge Advocate but for some reason is not showing up in the online version of the paper's obituaries.

I can only assume she lost her battle with leukemia which is what she was being treated for in MD Anderson last October.

Very sad.

Karen Marie Ebert passed away peacefully at home in Baton Rouge, Louisiana on February 3, 2017. She was born in Baton Rouge on September 24, 1960, raised in Livermore, California and graduated from Granada High School in 1978. She graduated from Louisiana State University in 1983 with a Bachelor of Science degree in Merchandising.

She had an exciting career traveling worldwide as a fashion buyer for 15 years while living in California and Florida. She returned to Louisiana to be near family and started a new career in risk management and financial services. In 2012, Karen retired and became a full-time caregiver to her beloved mother.

Relatives and friends are invited to attend the Memorial Mass at Lake Lawn Metairie Funeral Home, 5100 Pontchartrain Blvd., on Thursday, February 23, 2017 at 11 am.
