Kenneth Stephen Ebert passed away peacefully in Baton Rouge on October 17, 2016. He was born in Baton Rouge on August 15, 1959, raised in Livermore, California and graduated from Granada High School in 1977. He returned to Louisiana to attend college and received two B.S. degrees from LSU, Mathematics in 1982 and Accounting in 1988.
In between earning his degrees, he served in the U.S. Army, 1st Battalion/15th Field Artillery Regiment as a 1st Lieutenant until his honorable discharge in 1987.
He had a fulfilling career as a CPA for nearly thirty years. His passions in life were dedication to family, all things LSU, Oakland Athletics baseball, combat war games and brain teaser puzzles.
He is survived by parents, Paul and Violet Morovich Ebert, siblings, Edward Ebert, Karen Ebert, David Ebert and wife Ophelia "Kit", and Susan Ebert Roberts and husband J, nephews Nolan and Callum Roberts, and niece Suna Roberts. Preceded in death by paternal grandparents Louis and Nolasco Hart Ebert and maternal grandparents Luke and Violet Ficovich Morovich. Arrangements for a memorial service are pending and will be followed by a private burial.
In lieu of flowers, memorial gifts can be made to the LSU Foundation.
Rest In Peace, Kenneth. We're going to miss you, my friend.
