90% of college programs would like to reach up and touch that bottom.

Oh no 1/9/12 is nowhere close to how low our football team got between Mike Archer and Curley Hallman. That is not even in the same galaxy of low.

Can you take a step back, and realize just how silly it is to think that losing a national championship game, to the best modern and historic program, is rock bottom for our program?

It simply isn't. It might be rock bottom since you started paying attention, but my goodness it was our best season ever, and one game removed from a landslide conference championship victory.

LSU fans are unrealistic plain and simple

Losing a national championship game and finishing #2 is maybe not quite as bad as losing to Southern Miss with their former coach.

I think the Florida beat downs in the 90s were bad but maybe not that bad, since at least Florida was really good and humiliated a lot of teams.

In what universe is losing the national championship "rock bottom"?

Playing in the national championship game is NOWHERE near as low as losing to a rent-a-win...

...that had previously been coached by the man hired away by LSU...

...in the 6th losing season in a row - the worst losing stretch in the history of LSU football.

You'd have to be quite young to think that wasn't the low point.

If you think a national championship game loss is when LSU football hit rock bottom, then you weren't a fan during Denardo and before.

Losing a National Championship game is hardly rock bottom.
