Offseason thread i know but nobody every mentions this game for some reason. i remember specifically a series when LSU had State backed up inside their own 20 and it being just crazy loud.

I believe it was the Arkansas game in 2011 that I couldnt hear myself screaming when we started coming back. There have been a few games where its so loud I cant hear myself.

2003 Georgia on TD pass to Skyler Greene.

Alabama 2012 the year after we lost to them in the dome. That was loudest I've heard tiger stadium after jarvis landry went up and caught that jump ball in the south endzone. Loudest I've ever heard tiger stadium personally. The florida game in 2007 was loud as hell too...for the entire game though.

I was near the field for Virginia Tech in 2007...it was deafening.

2007 Florida was incredibly loud the whole game.
The crowd noise was cranked up to 11 when they announced #1 USC losing as both LSU and Florida fans went nuts.

Yeah definitely 2007 UF for me. Night game, Mike VI's first stadium appearance, USC loses, first time since '59 we're #1 in the regular season.
The place was absolutely bedlam, especially in that 4th quarter. I've still never experienced anything that comes close to that night.

This was a crazy experience. I was in 2nd row behind Florida bench and the land just went insane. Like noise coming down from mountains. That miss St and Tennessee game in 2000 are two of my fondest memories at lsu. I rode the goalpost for about 20 yds after Tennessee

2000 UT overtime game. 3rd row in student section and all I heard was I high pitch ringing. My ears were shot.

Ditto. When Honey Badger ran the kick back for a TD, I distinctly remember screaming so loudly that I sort of wobbled and almost blacked out on my feet for a second (was very drunk), yet couldn't hear myself at all in the wall of sound. By no means a sustained level of noise for the whole game (ended up 41-14) but down by 2 TD's and seeing TM7 say "frick it, watch this.." TS went ape shite.

I was just thinking South Carolina in 2012, i believe they were number 3 or 4 at the time.
But the loudest game I ever went to was 2009 Florida. We lost 13-3 but that was the loudest i've heard the stadium

Florida 2007. Loudest I have personally heard it and I have been to a lot of games.

This for me. On the field for overtime you could feel the air vibrating.

Ole Miss 2014. Crazy loud. You could feel the hate raining down from the stands.

2007 Florida game was the loudest game to date. Registered a 130.0 decimal level. Arrowhead Stadium has the record at 142.

From a "pre-game until the final play" loud, this one remains tough to beat. And even more emphasized by how it would get inexplicably louder during the big plays - the noise never really died down. I couldn't hear my own voice, typically, unless we were on offense, timeout, quarter breaks and even then the buzz was something else. It started out well before the game - outside - that's as lively as I've ever seen the campus before a game. The most people ever lined up to see the Tiger walk and band go in and the only time I've been at a game where I felt my eyeballs vibrate from the noise for more than a second or two (sure, at the end of "Bring Back the Magic" - that game ended on a particularly dramatic play - a couple of seconds it felt like my insides were shaking) - I mean for 15 or 20 second bursts on those 4th downs and the Hester TD.
But then came that moment when the USC score was announced. As I described above, the stadium had been pretty much as loud as you can imagine and for several minutes at a time, and a very loud background buzz the entire game up to that point. But that announcement - the crowd collectively - I describe like this - it was not that it was even collectively possible for us to make that noise - it was like we invoked it from a nether plane of existence. Words fail me in describing, so that's the best I can do. Unearthly.

Of all of the underrated games of the Miles era that I missed, I think this is the one I most wish I had gone to. An embattled LSU team, a Top 5 Ole Miss team, DV at night, a truly hostile, game-altering crowd, Bro Wallace's meltdown, flashes of the Chinese Bandits and a late 4th Q drive to win one for Miles after his mom had passed the night before. So epic that a guy died of a heart attack in the stands on the winning score.
If that's not what legends are made of, I don't know what is.
