Here's the SEC constitution and bylaws for 2016-2017.

I can't find a single reference to a requirement that the teams play an equal number of games, etc. I go back to my previous point -- all tiebreaker rules are irrelevant if there is not a tie.
So where is the by-law or rule that states the division winner is selected based on winning percentage?
