Some ranter did a longitudinal scientific study of Bama penalties over the last decade which showed they were least penalitzed team and their opponents if they were a single team would be the most penalized each and every year, even when Saban coached LSU and Shula coached Bama. Also, showed that they average almost 3 holding penalties a game with out of conference refs and about 3 a year in the SEC. interesting right after this was published and picked up by some media outlets it changed last year. But they garbage stat penalties that had no impact on the games.

Bama privilege is as much a myth as Texas privilege.

Is this including last season in which Alabama's opposition was called for offensive holding (and accepted by Alabama) a grand total of zero times the entire conference regular season?

For comparison 10+ were called on Alabama in those same conference games.

I had done this one a few years ago. Thing I found most interesting, was that the disparity between both programs remained essentially the same despite who was coaching either program. Now...that's actually really weird n this case, because here we actually have a situation where THE SAME EXCEPTIONALLY GOOD COACH was at BOTH programs. And yet, while at LSU, his team was penalized more heavily EVERY YEAR in comparison to BAMA...even when coached by guys like Mike Shula.

Even odder, is that even during LSU's two title runs...again, with two different coaches, LSU is WAY more penalized than BAMA. And even in 2011, you guessed it...still a huge difference. So even with a more experienced, better team...still the same. Hell, even when BAMA is sub .500 like in 2003 they don't get penalized more. Or in 2004, 2006 or 2007 when they were .500 or barely better...still more "disciplined" I guess.

Now...WHY this happens can be interpreted how you want I guess.
